Safe and Sober Program

For proof of identity when dealing with the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA), the following documents are typically required:

  1. Primary Proof of Identity (one of the following):


  • Passport (current or expired within the last 5 years)

  • Permanent Resident Card

  • Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship

  • Foreign Passport (with U.S. Visa or I-94)

  • U.S. Military Identification (active duty, retired, or veterans ID card)

  • Current, Unexpired Maryland Driver’s License (if renewing or exchanging)

Please upload your certificate from the online course as part of the required documentation for your program.

It must be a current completion from Drivers Edu Driving School and match the record archived in our system. We cannot accept certificates from other schools or online programs.
