Transfer into Driver's Education Driving School to Complete the Maryland Mandatory Driver Education Program

If you are transferring into our driving school to complete your Maryland Mandatory Driver Education Program, we will assist you in finishing your required lessons and coursework. To proceed with the transfer, you must provide the necessary documentation from your previous driving school. This will allow us to properly document your progress and continue from where you left off.


Required Documentation:

  1. MVA Classroom Record and Completion Form

  2. Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) Classroom Record and Completion Form


    OR


    Classroom and BTW Combo Form


The documents provided must not exceed three (3) years from the date of your request. These forms are crucial to verify that you have completed the classroom and/or behind-the-wheel components as required by the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA).


Once we receive these forms, we will finalize your transfer and schedule the remaining lessons needed to complete your program. Please ensure all required documentation is submitted accurately to avoid delays in processing.

Uploading your license or learner's permit also helps us identify you at the time of your scheduled lesson. This ensures that we have the correct student information on file and can verify your identity before the lesson begins, maintaining both safety and accuracy throughout your training.

The Self-Serve Scheduling Portal is available 24/7, allowing you to book lessons at your convenience. With this portal, you can schedule same-day lessons with up to one hour of availability at any location, giving you more access and control over your bookings. This flexibility ensures you can schedule lessons that work best for your schedule, at any time of day.

In order to proceed with your transfer, could you kindly upload the classroom record and completion form from the school you are transferring from? This will help us understand the coursework you've already completed and ensure a smooth transition.

Please note that the lessons are part of the MDOT (Maryland Department of Transportation) structured Driver Education curriculum. These lessons follow the Maryland Rookie Driver's Log, ensuring you’re covering all required topics, including road safety, rules of the road, and defensive driving techniques. Each lesson is designed to build on the last, providing a clear path through the material.

To help reduce any anxiety about the structured lessons, we encourage you to take some time to review the Rookie Driver Skills Log.


The more you practice and familiarize yourself with the skills outlined in the log, the more confident you'll feel during the lessons. These skills are designed to help you become a safe, responsible driver, and the practice will ensure you're fully prepared for each step of the process.
